Straddle Stacker Walkie Electric/Manual These pedestrian controlled trucks are used indoors to store and retrieve loads from shelving or racking. With these trucks, the mast is mounted between the load wheel outriggers. To pick up a load, the load is straddled by the outriggers as the forks enter the pallet. The load is then carried between the outriggers. These trucks are a three wheel design and their short wheel base makes them very maneuverable. This makes them ideal for retail aisle operation. The self propelled trucks are controlled through a tiller handle attached directly to the power unit and steering is accomplished by moving the tiller handle from side to side. The manually propelled trucks are equipped with an electric powered lifting mechanism controlled through the tiller handle. The manually propelled trucks would not be used to transport heavy loads.
