Sit-Down Cushion Tire Truck - IC These lift trucks are intended to be used inside on smooth dry floors for transporting palletized loads to and from the loading dock and the storage area. The smaller capacity models are normally equipped with forks for moving, storing, or retrieving palletized loads within the warehouse or for use in loading and unloading trailers at the loading dock. The larger capacity models are typically used with clamping attachments for paper roll or appliance handling. The cushion tired forklifts are lower than an equivalent capacity pneumatic tired forklift truck. This makes the cushion tired forklift trucks more useful in low clearance applications. However, this also means they have much less ground clearance than the pneumatic tired trucks which restricts cushion tired trucks to indoor applications. This category of forklift is also defined as a Class 4 internal combustion engine truck with solid tires as per ASME B56.1.
